Author Interviews and Guest Blogs

INTERVIEWS

Writer Jody Sparks asks me about manhole covers
and sandwiches at Sparks and Butterflies.

I talk about fainting, Boston and essential toiletries
in an interview I did with The Story Siren.

At Marjolein's Book Blog, I'm asked which fictional character
I'd like to have dinner with and why.

from my teen years at A Good Addiction.

. . . that one professor who changed my life at Novel Novice.

. . . places I’ve been at different times in my life at The Reading Vacation.

. . . my favorite book growing up in a post at The Juniper Breeze.

Me at Book Events

My first book club, hosted by my friend Libby (front center)

Ohioana Book Festival. Hung out with YA authors all day and had a ball!

macconnell arts center
My first reading, held at the MacConnell Arts Center in Worthington, OH. An hour before the thing started, we had torrential rain and tornado warnings, and people still came out. I should have bought them each a puppy as a thank you.

books by the banks
Books by the Banks, Cincinnati, OH. I had a horrible sinus cold and could barely hear YA author Kristina McBride, seated next to me, who was nothing but sweet and understanding. I'd have given up talking to me, but she never did.

2011 RITA awards
Just after checking in at the 2011 RITA Awards, NYC, and clearly having no idea where I'm supposed to go next. That black bag is full of books and weighed at least 8 pounds.

i now pronounce you someone else

“I felt my heart break and then I felt it slowly being mended back together again. That’s how you know good writing; when the author truly makes you feel as if you are a part of the story, not merely an observer.”
~ Cover to Cover

“Creative, original and fantastic.”
~ The Book Scout

“Erin McCahan’s writing is bright and witty, reminiscent of a more succinct version of Meg Cabot’s . . . . I Now Pronounce You Someone Else is a delightful contemporary read with a surprising amount of depth and feeling to it.”
~ Steph Su Reads
